With Lugia soon being available for players to battle in five-star raids coming in the first part of April in Pokémon GO, many may need advice on how to tackle this strong legendary bird Pokémon.
Lugia is a legendary Pokémon known to rule over the Kanti legendary bird trio, Articuno, Zados and Moltres. It is a Psychic- and Flying-type that does not see much spotlight on it in the main-series Pokémon games. However, being that it will be the next Five-star raid Pokémon for players to battle in their Raid Battles, its time seems to have finally come.
Below are some details on how to counter Lugia and ensure you get yourself one of these strong legendary Pokémon.
Pokémon GO Lugia Weaknesses
Considering Lugia's typing, Psychic- and Flying-type, finding potential Pokémon to counter this typing could pose a problem if players are unaware of each of these types weaknesses.
Psychic-types are weak to Bug-, Ghost- and Dark-types, while Flying-types are weak to Rock- and Electric-types. Finding a Pokémon that can take one type from each of Lugia's type's weaknesses would be most preferable, but as long as the Pokémon is strong and has moves relating to those types, players should be fine.
Some good potential Pokémon could be a Rotom, or Luxray. These Pokémon can cover both of Lugia's most vulnerable types to face; Electric and Dark or Ghost.
Lugia will be encounter-able in five-star raids from Apr. 4 at 10 a.m. to Apr. 10 at 8 p.m. local time.
