Announced as part of the Xbox & Bethesda Showcase, Minecraft Legends is a new action strategy game set in the iconic blocky Minecraft world.
In a slightly different vein to that of the creative, sandbox-style of the original Minecraft, new strategy game Minecraft Legends sees players form valuable alliances to protect and defend the Overworld. Players will find themselves faced against the piglins and their Nether corruption, and will be relying on help from Overworld mobs to keep them pushed back. Minecraft developers Mojang have partnered with Blackbird Interactive, a studio with plenty of experience in the real-time strategy department.
Minecraft Legends Announced, Coming 2023
A trailer for the upcoming game was revealed as part of yesterday's showcase and gave fans the first glimpse at the diverse and vibrant world.
Minecraft Legends will be played in third-person, with the player launching attacks and directing allies in the fight. Mojang have announced that more details surrounding the game and its gameplay will be revealed in the coming months.
Minecraft Legends is set for release in 2023, on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Windows pc
