A recent datamine could have possibly just leaked a Fortnite Chapter 5 live event.
Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 4 replaced Fortnite WILDS on Friday, Aug. 25 and brought a new Battle Pass, map, and some fan-favorite Mythic weapons back to Fortnite. The update simply went live after a scheduled downtime, once again disappointing fans who hoped the heist-inspired season would feature a live event.
Fortnite live events are the best way to get players from all over the world on the game at the same time to celebrate something new in the Fortnite world. Whether it is a live concert to launch the next musician in the Icon Series or a Chapter-ending event, Fortnite live events always deliver fun, inventive, and sometimes chaotic moments.
Now, it looks like Epic Games might finally be bringing live events back in Fortnite Chapter 5.
Fortnite Chapter 5 Live Event Files Possibly Datamined
Fortnite Chapter 5 live event files were possibly datamined on Friday, Aug. 25. Reliable Fortnite leaker, iFireMonkey, posted a screenshot of three files codenamed "Arnold" that appear to reveal a live event that consists of three acts.
Although the leak does not state when the live event would take place, it is safe to assume that Chapter 5 would be the perfect time to launch a live event. After almost a full calendar year, Fortnite Chapter 4 will disappear, and the occasion should be marked with an in-game event.
The event could be tied to the recent lore that suggests Dr. Slone is looking for a way off the island to escape The Last Reality once and for all. Her voice lines hint at a possible cataclysmic event that could destroy the current map and take Fortnite to the moon.
The theory became even more likely when Fortnite Last Resort launched with blood moons throughout the season's design and teasers. As of now, the moons have no connection to the heist-theme of Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 4, so they could very well be tied to a big change coming in Chapter 5. And what better way to introduce a new chapter than with a three-part live event?
Epic Games will likely neither confirm nor deny a Chapter 5 live event until the update draws closer.
