Will Pokimane be next Twitch streamer to accept Kick's $10M offer? Here's what we know

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: In the world of streaming and content creation, there seems to be a growing trend of big-name Twitch and YouTube stars switching to the relatively new streaming platform Kick. However, one content creator who has shut down the idea of joining Kick is Pokimane. During a recent stream, Poki made it very clear that she has no interest in compromising her morals and ethics for more money. While other creators are contemplating the price tag that would make them switch to Kick, Pokimane is perfectly content with where she is at.

Despite the lucrative deals the up-and-coming streaming platform has recently offered to popular streamers, including xQc's landmark contract potentially worth $100 million, Pokimane remains firm in her decision not to move to the platform. However, her stance has sparked interest among other prominent content creators, who are now contemplating a potential switch to Kick. In order for these creators to seriously consider such a move, what financial offer or price tag would need to be presented to them?

'Why would I compromise my morals and ethics for more money?'

In one of her recent streams, Pokimane was asked by her chat whether she had any intention to join Kick. Without hesitation, Poki swiftly shook her head and firmly replied, "Nope." She proceeded to elaborate on her rationale for not wanting to follow in the footsteps of numerous others who have made the switch.

When a fan proposed the idea of Pokimane joining Kick for a staggering $10 million, she emphatically responded that no sum of money would tempt her to compromise her morals and ethics. For her, the mere thought of entertaining something that went against her values is "cringe," particularly considering her existing financial stability.

“And it’s not because I’ve got $10 million,” she said. “It’s just because I am good as I am. Why would I compromise my morals and ethics for more money when I have money?”

"Something about that is so cringe to me personally! Like, I understand, you know? If you need to make money... right? For me to do cringe s**t... when I have - I can't! Like, ew! How do I... can someone put this into words better than I can? It's almost embarrassing!" she added.

"Also, I want to specify (that) I'm talking about me, personally," she clarified. "After all the things that I've been outspoken about and where I stand, morally and ethically, in regards to certain things. It would be really, really cringe for me to stream on Kick. Like, there's no other way to put it."

While Pokimane acknowledges that utilizing platforms like OnlyFans could potentially generate additional income, she has no inclination to pursue that particular career path. For her, the decision is as straightforward as knowing her preference for blue peppers over green ones - there's no need to overanalyze or dwell on it.

“I know that’s not the career path for me…It’s just like that. I know I like blue and I know I don’t like green peppers. I don’t like the way that they taste. It’s that simple,” she said.

'X has been gambling'

The 27-year-old streamer cited fellow content creator Felix "xQc" as an example, stating: "But like, you know, for example, X has been gambling. He's been about it. So, it makes more sense for him. But, for me it's... imagine!"

According to Pokimane, she would rather make no money and keep her dignity than take multimillion-dollar deals because it looks "desperate". "Oh, I know why. It's because it looks desperate, to... nah! I would make $0 and keep my dignity. For me!" she said.

Fans were largely pleased by Pokimane's statements. One of them wrote, "This clip will spark a legit 30 minute rant from xqc lmfao." Another wondered, "Only 30 minutes?" A third said, "My reaction when my gf asks if i would cheat on her for $10,000,000."
