Warzone 2 players aren't too happy with the game's self-revive system, calling for some major changes to be made.

As the newest iteration of one of the most popular battle royales on the market, Warzone 2 brought with it a lot of exciting and promising changes. Some were welcomed, others felt like a mistake from the get-go. According to some players, the self-revive system is one of the latter.

In a battle royale, the idea of a self-revive feels strange and one that could only seek to prolong the game and draw out annoyance from opponents. With the new changes to the looting system, players are also able to stack self-revives meaning they can feasibly pick themselves up from a downed state multiple times in one match.

Naturally, this hasn't sat well with the wider player base and many have since called on the developers to make some much needed nerfs.

One Reddit user posted a clip detailing exactly why so many have taken issue with the self-revive system.

In the clip, a player managed to use a series of self-revives late in the game after picking off an enemy. Despite being deep in the gas cloud, and down themselves, by using the self-revives one after the other, the player was able to stay alive long enough to claim the victory.

Given that this player was completely out of sight of any opponent, they were able to pull off the move without much difficulty.

One commentor expressed their annoyance, saying, "Such an easy fix too, just limit the number of Self Res you can pick up to 1."

Others weren't convinced by the suggesting, replying, "No. That discourages teamwork and picking up things for your buddies. A more sensible thing is having a cool down. Even a 10-20 second cooldown solves the problem without taking away the concept of picking up loot for a teammate."

It's clear something needs to be fixed with the self-revive system, but whether Raven Software or Infinity Ward will come up with some appropriate changes remains to be seen.
