The Last of Us director Neil Druckmann has confirmed that The Last of Us Part 1 will be Steam Deck compatible.
The director made the announcement in a recent Tweet, responding to a statement made by a fan saying that they would "wait until I see the compatibility with the steam deck before I decide to preorder" The Last of Us Part 1 on PC.
"Ellie and Joel will grace the Steam Deck… don’t worry!" Druckmann said.
The Last of Us Part 1 remake was released for PlayStation 5 on Sept. 2, 2022. The game is set to arrive on PC on March 3, 2023. Pre-orders for the port are live now via Steam and the Epic Games Store for $59.99.
The PC version is noticeably cheaper than the initial price point of the PS5 game, which came under fire for its $70 listing.
The Last of Us first release back in 2013 for the PlayStation 3, and has since gone on to be one of Sony's most praised exclusives. A TV adaptation is in the works by HBO and is set to broadcast in 2023.
