'God of War Ragnarok' is leading the way for the Game Awards 2022 with 10 nominations.
The Game of the Year nominee from Sony Santa Monica and SIE in on the shortlist for more prizes than any other title, including game direction, narrative, art direction and audio design.
The game also finds itself in the running for best action/adventure title and innovation in accessibility, while Bear McCreary is in the running in the score and music category for his work on the game, with Christopher Judge and Sunny Siljic competing against each other in the performance category.
Meanwhile, 'Elden Ring' and 'Horizon Forbidden West' each have seven nominations, with both in on the shortlist for game of the year alongside 'God of War Ragnarok', 'A Plague Tale: Requiem', 'Xenoblade Chronicles 3' and 'Stray'.
The latter has caused some surprises, with the indie title earning six nominations.
Sony's games give the company a combined total of 20 nominations, with Nintendo and Annapurna Interactive following in joined second place with 11, while Bandi Namco is next wigh eight nominations across the 30 categories.
This year's ceremony will be once again hosted by Geoff Keighley, with fans also expecting some big game reveals in line with previous shows.
Typically, each award category has been bookeded by updates or debuts from upcoming titles, with a 'Crash Bandicoot' game tased for this year's event.
