Previously only available on the Nintendo GameCube, Story of Seasons: A Wonderful Life is getting a new Nintendo Switch remake.
Story of Seasons: A Wonderful Life is a remake of the 2004 GameCube game Harvest Moon: A Wonderful Life, in which players take on the role of a young farmer who inherits a farm to turn into a protitable and flourishing business. As a farming/life-sim hybrid, players must also develop relationships with the townsfolk, get married, and develop their life in Forget-Me-Not Valley.
Harvest Moon games have been released under the Story of Seasons banner after developer Marvelous discontinued licensing the Harvest Moon series to Natsume. Natsume released their own, unrelated games under the name Harvest Moon.
Unlike the original release, Story of Seasons: A Wonderful Life will allow players to choose between a male or female protagonist.
The remake was announced as part of September's Nintendo Direct, along with a brand new trailer. Story of Seasons: A Wonderful Life is set to release Summer 2023.
