Team Rocket leader, Sierra, is bringing on new Pokémon to her team in Pokémon GO. Coming off of Pokémon GO's Halloween Event, trainers are looking to put their new Pokémon to the test. This month’s roster is actually the same as her lineup in July, however, it can still prove to be a challenge for trainers who go in unprepared.
Trainers can earn rare rewards when defeating Team Rocket leaders in Pokémon GO. This includes 1,000 Stardust, two item bundles, and a chance to catch the Leader’s Shadow Pokémon.
When going up against Sierra, there are three Pokémon. Other than her consistent starter, Squirtle, there are six possibilities for other Pokémon she can choose from. Here are the Pokémon trainers can prepare for and the best Pokémon to counter them.
Pokémon GO Sierra November 2022: How to Beat
First Pokémon: Squirtle
Like always, trainers can expect Shadow Squirtle as Sierra’s first Pokémon. Squirtle’s Water typing renders it weak to Grass and Electric-type moves. Here are a few strong Pokémon trainers can use to counter Squirtle:
- Zekrom: Charge Beam and Wild Charge
- Luxray: Hidden Power and Wild Charge
- Zarude: Vine Whip and Power Whip/Energy Ball
- Roserade: Razor Leaf and Leaf Storm
Second Pokemon: Blastoise, Blaziken, Lapras
Sierra's second Pokémon is a toss-up between Shadow Blastoise, Shadow Blaziken, and Shadow Lapras. The same Pokémon used against Squirtle can be used to take on Blastoise and Lapras because they have the same Water-typing.
Blaziken, on the other hand, is a Fire and Fighting-type Pokémon meaning it is vulnerable to Flying, Ground, Water, and Psychic-moves. Here are the some of the best Pokémon to counter Blaziken:
- Mewtwo: Confusion/Psycho Cut and Psychic
- Kingler: Bubble and Crabhammer
- Alakazam: Confusion and Psychic
Third Pokemon: Drapion, Houndoom, Nidoqueen
Do not let these notably strong, Shadow Pokémon scare you away from challenging Sierra. Though all three of these Pokemon have different types, they share ground-type moves as their weakness. Trainers should use this to their advantage to save space in their party when choosing Pokémon to add to their team. Here are a few ground-type Pokémon that can prove to be a strong and worthwhile asset to your team:
- Groudon: Mud Shot and Earthquake
- Rampardos: Smack Down and Rock Slide
- Rhyperior: Mud Slap and Earthquake
- Garchomp: Mud Shot and Earth Power
