Pokémon GO Season of Light's Evolving Stars event began Wednesday, and it brought with it a new slate of Special Research for players to complete. This is the second of three Special Research tasks that will be released over the course of the event. The third arrives Nov. 23.

Pokémon GO Season of Light Special Research Part 2 Details
There are four steps to this latest round of A Cosmic Companion Special Research. Here's each task in each step, plus the rewards you'll earn along the way
Step 5
- Complete 5 Field Research tasks — Baltoy encounter
- Power up Pokémon 10 times — Staryu encounter
- Evolve a Cosmog — 1000 Stardust
- Rewards: 25 Cosmog Candy, 750 Stardust and 1,000 XP
Step 6
- Complete 10 Field Research Tasks — Elgyem encounter
- Power up Pokémon 10 times — Staryu encounter
- Walk 5km — Girafarig encounter
- Rewards: 25 Cosmog Candy, 750 Stardust and 2,000 XP
Step 7
- Earn 15 hearts with your buddy — Elgyem encounter
- Hatch an Egg — Staryu encounter
- Catch 20 different species of Pokémon — 25 Great Balls
- Rewards: 10 Poké Balls, 1,500 Stardust and 3,000 XP
Step 8

- Rewards: 50 Cosmog Candy, 1,500 Stardust and 3,000 XP
