Rayquaza is a Dragon- and Flying-type legendary Pokémon who comes from the Hoenn region, and in the games set in Hoenn, Rayquaza is the Pokémon that has power over Kyogre and Groudon, the other legendaries from that region that have found their way into Pokémon GO.

It should be noted that being a rare lgendary Pokémon, it will be hard to find a raid battle that Rayquaza will be the opponent in, but once it is found, players should challenge it with any of their strong Ice-type Pokémon, as Rayquaza is incredibly weak to ice types.
Players with Pokémon of this type will find themselves at a strong advantage when facing Rayquaza, and should make sure their Ice-types are trained up to prepare for this fight against the legendary Pokémon.
