Unfortunately, it does not appear that there will be an Android-compatible Backbone One – PlayStation Edition offering for the foreseeable future.

At the time of publication, Backbone One for iPhone PlayStation Edition remains listed at a base price of $99.99 USD for orders on the Backbone website. Additionally, there hasn't been an official announcement made in regards to an Android version of it being on the way. Backbone CEO Maneet Khaira notably did not mention Android in their PlayStation.Blog feature.

Backbone One for Android PlayStation Edition Alternative

For Android PlayStation fans who still want to be able to game with a Backbone controller, the company does offer a Backbone One for Android controller that comes in at the same retail price of $99.99. It is compatible only with Android phones that use a USB-C port.

Though it lacks the matching DualSense wireless controller face buttons, colors, materials and finishes, the Backbone One for Android does come with the same performance specs and features for gaming.

The Backbone One for Android works with App Store games and other game streaming services that support controllers, including Genshin Impact, Fantasian and Call of Duty: Mobile.

PS5 and PS4 game streaming is done entirely through the PS Remote Play app, which is said to be integrated heavily with the Backbone App.
