The Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 Multiplayer Beta maps have been revealed ahead of early access beginning on Oct. 6.
Activision officially revealed MW3 multiplayer with a special trailer highlighting new weapons, Operators, camos and, of course, the returning MW2 (2009) remastered maps. It's been a controversial topic considering the core of multiplayer this year will be built upon the original maps from 14 years ago. Players will get their first hands-on experience this weekend when the Multiplayer Beta goes live.
We now know what maps we'll be playing during both weekends.
MW3 Multiplayer Beta Maps Revealed for Both Weekends
Here's the full list of MW3 Multiplayer Beta maps for both weekends:
- Favela
- Skidrow
- Estate
- Rust
- Highrise (Weekend 2)
Rust and Highrise are the two that stand out the most as fan favorites. Favela as well was a popular pub-stomping map back in 2009. It will be interesting to see how both Skidrow and Estate play with the updated movement mechanics and how player behavior has evolved since MW2. Players were hoping for more popular maps including Invasion and Terminal, but they'll have to wait until full launch to get their hands on those.
How to Get MW3 Multiplayer Beta Early Access
PlayStation players get Early Access to the MW3 Multiplayer Beta by pre-ordering the game. The first beta weekend is for PlayStation 4 and 5 owners only and it begins on Oct. 6. The second weekend will include Xbox and PC players.
How Long is the MW3 Multiplayer Beta?
The MW3 Multiplayer Beta early access period runs Oct. 6-7. Then, Oct. 8-10 all players will be able to download the beta. Same goes for the second weekend with a two-day Early Access period Oct. 12-13.
