The often forgotten TAQ-M rifle has jumped up the meta rankings in Modern Warfare 2, following a round of recent nerfs.
Once again, it seems the Modern Warfare meta is undergoing a shift. Arguably, the RPK LGM and Fennec SMG have been dominating the field lately, with players enjoying the fast TTK and overall devestation the two guns can muster.
But, following a some recent nerfs, we've seen some players shift away from the tried and true LGM and SMGs, to a more varied mix of weapons. So much so that the two have ended up with some surprisingly low pick rates after Season 2 Reloaded.
But one somewhat overlooked marksman rifle is making a steady climb up the meta rankings — the TAQ-M.
Modern Warfare 2 TAQ-M Jumps Up Meta Ratings
According to WZRanked, a site dedicated to tracking the ever-shifting pick rates of weapons, lists the TAQ-M at Rank no. 14, with a 1.3% pick rate. The rifle has been dubbed a Tier A pick.
While still a spot behind the trusty RPK, the TAQ-M's jump in popularity puts it ahead of weapons like the M13B and Kastov-74U. Players are more likely to spot this rifle out in mulitplayer and Warzone 2.
