New leaks suggest Krampus is apparently returning to MW3 and Warzone just in time for Christmas, and fans are less than thrilled.

Call of Duty: Warzone is just a few days away from receiving its first major update post Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 Season 1 is coming with several changes for multiplayer, including three new maps, and will finally bring Urzikstan to the Battle Royale. A Call of Duty holiday event will also close out 2023, possibly resurrecting Krampus.

Here's everything we know about the return of the unpopular monster.

Krampus is Apparently Returning to MW3 and Warzone

Krampus, everyone's least favorite Christmas villain, is apparently returning to MW3 and Warzone as part of the upcoming holiday event. The beast originated in Call of Duty: Vanguard and made headlines for all the wrong reasons, spawning out of nowhere and killing people in both multiplayer and Warzone matches.

Now, dataminers reported a new version of Krampus, referred in the files as "Zombie Santa." Allegedly, he "will attack players and is able to be killed."

Although there is no image of the new monster just yet, we can expect a Krampus-like figure perfect for terrorizing players during the Christmas event. Stay tuned for more updates about Krampus as the holiday season approaches.

All Multiplayer and Warzone Changes Coming in MW3 Season 1

Krampus is not the only major change coming in MW3 and Warzone Season 1. Players can also expect the following new additions to multiplayer, Zombies, and Warzone in MW3 Season 1:

  • Three new 6v6 Core MP maps.
  • Gunfight, All or Nothing, and more MP modes.
  • New storylines in Zombies mode.
  • New Urzikstan Warzone map.
  • Holiday event, modes, and more.
  • MW3 Season 1 Battle Pass

The biggest releases of the upcoming update are the four new maps coming to multiplayer and Warzone. Urzikstan is set to take over the Battle Royale while Meat and Greece enter the multiplayer map pool. Rio, the third 6v6 map, will not release until mid-season.

MW3 and Warzone Season 1 launches on Wednesday, Dec. 6, 2023, at 12 p.m. ET.
