As a new season unfolds in Fortnite, players want to know if the beloved Pump Shotgun is back in the Battle Royale.
Chapter 4 Season 2 features four new POIs for players to explore across the futuristic southeast portion of the map. Japanese temples, nature, and cities flare MEGA City, Steamy Springs, Kenjutsu Crossing, and Knotty Nets.
The update also released a new range of weapons, including a Kinetic Blade, Havoc Suppressed Assault Rifle, and an Overclocked Pulse Rifle. The Heavy Sniper Rifle and Cobra DMR were also unvaulted.
Can players expect to see the return of the Pump Shotgun as well?
Is the Pump Shotgun Back in Fortnite?
The original Pump Shotgun is still not back in Fortnite. The weapon has remained vaulted for six seasons.
Instead, Fortnite MEGA introduced the Havoc Pump Shotgun. Although fans want the classic Pump back, they can at least use this version of the gun. Epic Games teases, "Like bold and brash better? Make a scene with this high-damage shotgun."
Nothing can replace the original Pump Shotgun, but the Havoc Pump Shotgun seems to be effective in close-range gunfights. If players can find the Mythic version from a vault, then they will certainly come out on top of most engagements as long as they hit their shots.
