How to Pre-Order Super Mario Bros. Wonder

Nintendo surprised many fans with the Super Mario Bros. Wonder announcement in the June 2023 Direct. Then, the company unleashed juicy details about the game in a 15-minute Direct earlier this month.

We’ve got a while until Super Mario Bros. Wonder comes out on Oct. 20. On the bright side, pre-orders for the game are already available.

How to Pre-Order Super Mario Bros. Wonder

You can pre-order one of two versions of Super Mario Bros. Wonder. Pre-ordering the digital edition allows you to play it the second it launches. In this case, you won’t have to wait for Super Mario Bros. Wonder to download on Oct. 20. The physical edition is also available for pre-purchase, though the steps to buy it are slightly different.

Follow the instructions below to order either version of the game.

Digital Version

1. Go to the official Super Mario Bros. Wonder pre-order page.
2. Click the button that says “Pre-order digital” under the “Digital edition” section.
3. Login to your Nintendo Account.
4. If you haven’t already saved one, you’ll be prompted to input your billing address.
5. Then, Nintendo will ask you to confirm your payment method for pre-orders. You can change your payment method via the Shop Menu in your Nintendo Account settings. You also have the choice to use Gold Points for purchase.
6. After you’re done, click “Next.”
7. Confirm the purchase by clicking “Confirm Pre-order.”

With the digital edition, players can also earn My Nintendo Gold Points they can use to buy eligible games and DLCs.

Physical Version

1. Go to the official Super Mario Bros. Wonder pre-order page.
2. The physical version of Super Mario Bros. Wonder is only available in the United States and Canada. Click your country under the "Physical edition" section to claim it.
3. If you click the U.S., you’ll see that Best Buy, Target, Walmart, GameStop, and Amazon carry the physical game. In Canada, Best Buy, Amazon, Walmart, GameStop, and The Source sell it.
4. Select which store you’d like to buy from.
5. Click the “Pre-order” button on the website you select, and follow the prompts to purchase the game.
