Players looking for a new marksman rifle in Fortnite can now get the Tactical DMR.
Fortnite update v26.20 brought Star Wars back to the island as fans work to unlock the Ahsoka Tano Battle Pass skin and master their Force abilities. Just one week later, Epic Games added in a new weapon, called the Tactical DMR, to the Battle Royale without much fanfare. The new addition to the loot pool was rumored for weeks before it finally became a playable option.

How to Get the Tactical DMR in Fortnite
To get the Tactical DMR in Fortnite, players can simply loot chests, vaults, or pick one up from ground loot. The weapon is easy to find across the island, especially if you have a Key; Tactical DMRs seem to be a very popular option for Holo Chests after the latest update.
Unlike the Thermal DMR, the Tactical DMR has a toggleable zoom. Players can essentially turn the marksman rifle into a fast-firing sniper rifle.

Should You Use the Tactical DMR in Fortnite?
You should only use the Tactical DMR in Fortnite if it is of Epic rarity or higher. Otherwise, the weapon is not as good as the Twin Mag Assault Rifle or any of the Mythic options from Kado Thorne's vaults.
The gun is the most effective in Zero Build, especially in zones that end with high-rise buildings, like MEGA City. Having the 4x zoom on the Tactical DMR makes hitting long-range shots that much easier, but in the time you spend perfecting your shot, someone with a sniper or The Foundation's MK-Seven AR could already eliminate you.
