The 2022 Pokemon GO World Championship is taking place in London, running from now until Aug. 21, 2022. The top qualifying Pokemon GO players from around the globe will compete to determine who will be crowned the 2022 Pokemon GO World Champion.
There's been plenty of ways to get in on the action, both in-game an on-site. As part of the event, two new in-game avatar items will be available in commemoration of the 2022 Pokemon World Championships. Here's how to earn them.
How to Earn Free 2022 Worlds Tee Pokemon GO Avatar Item
The first of the free items for this year's Worlds is the 2022 Worlds Tee. Players can earn this cosmetic from anywhere in the world via a code shared during the World Championships Stream. The code will also be distributed on official Pokemon GO social media channels shortly after.
Players can tune into the stream via Twitch.
Players will only have a limited time to claim the reward, however, as it remains valid until Aug. 22, 2022, at 11:59 p.m. UTC.
The second available item is the 2022 Worlds Participant Tee, and it's a little trickier to get hold of. Players will only be able to grab this cosmetic from the PokéStop located at the Pokemon GO Booth in the World Championships. The venue is the ExCel centre in London.
The cosmetic can only be claimed during the event.
