The Michigan goal became popular in the NHL after Andrei Svechnikov of the Carolina Hurricanes pulled the move off in a game in 2019, however it originated in 1996 by Mike Legg of the University of Michigan. How to do the Michigan Deke in NHL 23
To score the Michigan, players will need to have the puck on their forehand while moving the right stick left to right while holding R3 and L1 on the PlayStation. On Xbox, players will have the puck on their forehand while moving the right stick from left to right while holding R3 and LB.
Players must time this move right while skating behind the net. It's the timing of this goal that makes it so difficult.
