HoloCure developers (presumably Kay Yu), announced earlier this month that they are taking their time handcrafting the game's next update, warning players "new content update probably won't be for a little while! Aiming for August."
HoloCure is "a completely free, unofficial fangame featuring the vtuber talents of Hololive, with gameplay that is heavily inspired by Vampire Survivors and Magic Survival." It is available free on the HoloCure website for Windows PC.
Although the game launched a little more than a month ago, fans are already yearning for more content. As an entirely free-to-play experience, the game likely does not generate much revenue for additional development. Nonetheless, fans of the Japanese animator's passion project seemed to be very supportive on social media.
In a rare milestone for the gaming community, the Twitter comments in reference to the announced delay were flooded with encouragement and praise. Replies like "Thanks so much for all the hard work," and "take your time," filled the thread.
One Twitter user, a @CTanooki, wisely pointed out, "A delayed game is eventually good, a rushed game is forever bad." Right on Tanooki, Right on.
