Much to everyone's excitement, Fortune's Keep and Rebirth Island are coming back to Call of Duty: Warzone in 2024.

Call of Duty: NEXT revealed key features coming to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone in the near future. A new perk system and 16 modernized maps from Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 (2009) are just the beginning for Multiplayer, and new Warzone map, Urzikstan, combines Verdansk and Al Mazrah features to give Battle Royale fans a new playground.

Along with Urzikstan, two beloved Resurgence maps are returning to Warzone in 2024.

Fortune's Keep and Rebirth Island Coming in 2024

Fortune's Keep and Rebirth Island are officially coming in 2024. Both maps are fan-favorites, and fans have been asking for their return throughout the past year. Their condensed layouts are perfect for the fast-paced, high-engagement play style of Resurgence, and they lack many of the drawbacks of the current map pool.

Raven Software announced, "Two fan-favorite Warzone maps are back! Courtesy of our friends at Beenox and High Moon Studios, Rebirth Island and Fortune's Keep will return to Warzone throughout 2024."

Although the announcement does not give a specific release date for either map, Activision revealed that Fortune's Keep will be the first to return "early next year" while Rebirth Island follows "later in 2024."

Of all the big announcements today, a future of Rebirth Island and Fortune's Keep just might be the most exciting one of all.

Is Ashika Island Leaving Warzone in 2024?

As of now, it is unclear if Ashika Island is leaving Warzone in 2024 to make room for Fortune's Keep and Rebirth Island. The Japanese-inspired landscape is the least popular Resurgence map currently available in Warzone, and if one map has to go, then it will surely be Ashika Island.

It is possible, though, that no Resurgence maps are leaving Warzone in 2024. Activision promised the "most diverse map rotation in Call of Duty: Warzone" history in 2024, so we just might see five Resurgence maps available at one time.
