EA Sports announced Landon Donovan as a new FUT Hero for FIFA 23 in a special collaboration with Marvel.
EA Sports posted a tweet one the official FIFA Twitter account with Landon Donovan caricaturized like Captain America in the announcement. The image is akin to a Marvel comic with Donovan sporting a Captain America-like suit with the American flag and the US Men's National Team badge on a shield.

EA Sports also released comic stylized images of the following new Heroes on the official FIFA Instagram account:
- Yaya Toure - Ivory Coast / Premier League
- Park Ji-Sung - South Korea / Premier League
- Claudio Marchisio - Italy / Serie A
- Ricardo Carvalho - Portugal / Premier League (not picture below)
The in-game player items will also feature the special Marvel designs. This is the first time Marvel and FIFA have collaborated on an in-game promotion. EA Sports and Adidas collaborated for a FIFA Ultimate Team promotion last year, NUMBERSUP, but these Marvel items are themed around the upcoming World Cup.
FIFA 23 releases Sept. 30.
