Fall Guys announced their newest live event, the Spartan Showdown, on June 14, 2022. Set to launch on June 30, the event will include "some pretty cool store items," according to an official Twitter post.
The limited-time event, which will wrap on July 4, is an obvious homage to the Spartans of Bungie's Halo Series. To view the event's official trailer, take a look at the YouTube video below.
Fall Guys Spartan Showdown Announced
From a gameplay perspective, Fall Guys couldn't be more different from any of the Halo franchise. This event, besides being a no-brainer marketing move, is likely being used to promote Fall Guys' release to Xbox and Switch, which occurred a week ago June 21. The new season also includes loads of new features, such as several new rounds and a season pass, and is free to play.
No doubt, it will be strange for PlayStation players to control a Halo-themed character from a rival console, but it is only for a short time. Players of any console will be excited to compete in multiple Spartan-themed challenges to earn various Spartan-themed rewards.
