After months of rumors, Epic Games finally confirmed that the next Fortnite live event, called The Big Bang, will close out Chapter 4.
Fortnite fans have been waiting for another live event since Fracture unfolded in the Chapter 3 finale. Epic Games has hosted in-game events since the major event, like The Kid LAROI concert, but none have been true seasonal or chapter spectacles that bring the entire community to one place at the same time.
Now, with Fortnite OG bringing more players to the Battle Royale than ever before, a live event is finally on its way. Here's everything we know about The Big Bang coming in just a couple weeks.
Epic Games Confirms Big Bang Fortnite Live Event in Chapter 4
The Big Bang is the next Fortnite live event coming to send off Chapter 4 in style. After an entire season without any in-game live events, Epic Games confirmed The Big Bang, open to all Fortnite players across the globe.
In their announcement blog post, Epic Games promised, "This event marks a new beginning for Fortnite." The teaser image hints at the changes coming in Chapter 5, including the rumored Rocket League Racing and LEGO modes.
The Fortnite X account even promised a "memorable reveal toward the end," all-but confirming the addition of monumental changes for the next Fortnite Chapter.
Fortnite Big Bang Live Event Offers Free Eminem Skin
Leaks also revealed that Eminem will somehow be involved in the live event. Those who participate in The Big Bang will even receive an alternate Eminem skin, called Marshall Magma. Check out the exclusive reward below.
When Does The Big Bang Live Event Start in Fortnite Chapter 4?
The Big Bang live event starts on Saturday, Dec. 2, 2023 at 2 p.m. ET, in Fortnite Chapter 4. Players will be able to join from the Discover tab thirty minutes prior to get ready for the massive event.
Downtime for The Big Bang will begin at 12 p.m. ET on the same day. Matchmaking will be disabled, and players will only have access to Fortnite Creative during the 90 minutes before the event begins.
