Can Druddigon be Shiny in Pokémon GO?

Druddigon is a fan favorite Generation V Pokémon. Whether it was a part of your team taking down the Champion Iris in Black and White 2, or her Druddigon was giving you headaches, this Pokémon definitely left a mark.

Fans of the Pokémon since then have wanted to make it a priority to catch, and given its late introduction into Pokémon GO, some fans had to wait over five years, from the summer of 2016 all the way through its introduction in the game in December 2021 to catch Druddigon.

Druddigon hunters will certainly be hoping that its shiny form will be available too, featuring distinct green body with orange highlights, in contrast to the normal version's blue and red color scheme. Here's everything you need to know on shiny Druddigon in Pokémon GO.

Can Druddigon be Shiny in Pokémon GO?

Druddigon can be caught shiny and has been available since the Pokémon's original introduction to the game. However, Druddigon is not longer available to be caught the standard way, it is exclusively found in 3 Star Raids. This means there are very few ways to efficiently shiny hunt for this Pokémon. The only way you will find it is by getting a lucky encounter after beating it in a raid. There are no real efficient ways to find it besides living or spending a lot of time in an area that has a lot of raids.

Some of the best counters for winning those raids are other Dragon-types, Ice-type, and Fairy-type Pokémon. If you have access to Legendaries or Pseudolegendaries like Dialga, Palkia, Dragonite, or Garchomp, they will be very useful. Easier to obtain Pokémon like Gardevoir and Glaceon will also take you a long way during the raid too.
